The 2011 VAHCDO Annual Conference and Scholarship Luncheon will be held at the Hilton Virginia Beach Hotel Oceanfront Wednesday, May 11th through the 13th.  The conference theme is “Sustaining Success In Changing Times”. 

VAHCDO plans to bring you valuable and timely information and sessions ensuring that our agencies are prepared to continue the successful delivery of programs to our customers and our communities in these changing times.  More importantly, we will honor the recipients of the 2011 VAHCDO Scholarship Program.  In years past, the remarkable stories of the scholarship winners have warmed our hearts and brought tears to our eyes.  You won’t want to miss this opportunity to show our young people that we honor their success and believe in their futures.

What better place to host our conference than the family friendly City of Virginia Beach.  The hotel is conveniently located on the oceanfront where you’ll find plenty of entertainment and great places to eat.  If you are looking to relax after a day of workshops and sessions, you may want to stroll down to 30th Street and enjoy the Beach Music Weekend Festival (Free to Public) which starts on Thursday evening and ends on Saturday.  There’s also the Gospel Fest that begins on Friday evening (on the beach at 24th Street) for those considering staying a few extra days.  You are certain to enjoy the boardwalk that runs parallel to the ocean as well as the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
