Director of Housing
The Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority is seeking a seasoned professional to perform highly responsible managerial work involving the planning and oversight of the agency’s assisted housing programs including public housing, the Housing Choice Voucher program, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and market rate housing.
Consideration will be given only to those candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a minimum of 5 years of management experience including at least 3 years of responsibility for supervision of management staff, at least 2 years of work experience under the HUD Public Housing Asset Management business model or at least 2 years of work experience managing Housing Choice Voucher programs, significant experience in developing operating policies and procedures and significant experience in budget development and financial management.

Accountant
The Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority is accepting applications for the position of Leasing Specialist. The Accountant position is responsible for preparing, maintaining and communicating financial records for
the organization. Financial records include the financial and operational information underlying the
financial records and the information systems used to process, maintain and communicate these records.
Specific areas of responsibility and specific functions within those areas will be assigned as deemed
appropriate by the Finance Director. The position is part of the Finance Department and responsible to
the Finance Director.

HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER
LEASING SPECIALIST
The Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority is accepting applications for the position of Leasing Specialist. Position is responsible for assisting the HCV Program Administrator with administering 345 Housing Choice Vouchers and 28 Moderate Rehabilitation units. Candidate is responsible for performing complex analytical work and advanced clerical work requiring considerable judgment in interviewing and qualifying program applicants. Candidate will conduct Housing Quality Standard inspections of program participants. Plans majority of own work and works directly with landlords, owners and program participants.
Applicant must be a high school graduate or have a GED. Relevant experience in a HCV program, social services or property management is preferred. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Position Overview:
The Vice President of Real Estate and Community Development is responsible for planning, developing and managing the agency’s real estate and community development programs, real estate portfolio and capital assets. The role has four key focus areas, community development, public housing redevelopment, real estate services and construction project management and reports to the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).
Minimum Required Qualifications:
